In the out of doors...

Azalea State Natural Reserve
As this year of home schooling comes to a formal winding down, I am already planning for next year.  I began my home school journey with flash cards and regular visits to the library.  Then later was introduced to the idea of The Trivium, Classical Education and thus began a pursuit to incorporate those ideas into my "style".  The Bluedorns, Miss Wisebaur and then the lovely Ms. Beechick.  Now, I have met Ms. Charlotte Mason and I am pleased to meet her literary legacy.  I am learning of her teaching style and am already beginning to morph into yet another style of learning and teaching.

We love being outside and would prefer it over studying indoors any day.  Therefore we are embracing the out of doors nature study that Ms. Mason utilized with her students. Next year I hope to simplify more my life along with how we home school.  The library, as always, will play a huge role in providing us with books to read and learn from.  We will still hold true to copy work and will do our best to make the most use of our time inside - so we can hurry up and be out of doors!
