These were the only parts that we not recyclable. Although in hind sight we should have taken them to the recycle center to see what could have been done with them. However, all in all we saved a great deal of matter from going into our local landfill by doing this recycling project. We were excited by how much plastic and metal we could recycle from just those two items.
love it!! that was my fav thing ever as a kid, i took apart radios, you name it... and i'd scour the junk yards and woods for bits of things to "invent" the World's Greatest New Thing (whatever it was, i hadn't decided yet). so fun. so glad you're doing it with your kids. :)
